Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Christchurch on 28th January 2023. In his 62nd year. Much loved only son of Murray and the late Gertrude Lattimore, Methven. Beloved only sibling of Kate Holmes, Methven. Loving father of Maire and Sarah, Brisbane. Loved stepfather of Stephanie Forsyth-Taylor, Loburn. Adored Grandad of Addison and Charli. His company, humour, stories and support were enjoyed and appreciated by all of his large wider circle of family and friends. Highly respected colleague, friend, mate and respected officer of all who knew and worked with him for over 40 years’ service in the New Zealand Army, including NZDF deployments all over the world. Ian’s farewell and celebration of his life will be held in Our Chapel, cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton on Thursday February 9, commencing at 11.00am, followed by private cremation at the Ashburton Crematorium.
