28 August 1948 – 17 October 2024, aged 76 years.  Peacefully passed away at Ashburton Hospital. Much loved husband of the late Heather, much loved father and father in law of Katrina and Armand Van-der-Eik, Amanda and Ian Sutcliffe, Hamish and Kris, and Nathan and Kiriana, and much loved Pop of Courtney, Brad, Caylum, and Tayla.  Loved brother and brother in law of the late Tony, and Lyn Whinham, Peter and Valmai Whinham, and Roger and Pauline Whinham.  Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.  Messages to the Whinham family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A service to celebrate David’s life will be held at the Hotel Ashburton, Racecourse Road, on Friday October 25, commencing at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.
