Barney passed away bravely at Waipapa Hospital Christchurch, aged 75 years.  Dearly loved husband of Judith (Judy) and much loved father and father in law of Dayle and Rachel, Garth and ex-wife Nerida, Lyall and Anna.  Loved and special grandfather (Bahwarp) of Angus, Lachie, Wil, Poppy, Freya, Lucas and the late Jacob. Much loved son of the late George and Ida and son in law of the late Stan and Joy.  Brother and brother in law of Connie (dec) and Harvey Spence, the late Dulcie and Jack Whyte, Eileen, Ray (dec) and Helen, Shirley (dec) and Graeme Behrnes, Doreen and Brian Wilson, Allister (dec), David Ownsworth (dec), Sandra and Glenn Grey.  Barney will be missed by his nieces and nephews, their partners and families. A celebration of Barney’s life will be held at the Hotel Ashburton, Racecourse Road, on Friday May 28, commencing at 1.30pm.  Followed by interment at the Seafield Lawn, Ashburton  Cemetery
