STEWART Norman John (Norm) on March 23, 2025,

Peacefully at home surrounded by family, aged 60 years. Loving husband to Lee-Anne. Proud father and father in law of Brendon (dec), Adam and Meg, Hannah and Braydon and Hunter. Doting grandfather to Bobby and Elliot. Much loved son of Diana. He will be remembered for his generosity, wisdom, and unwavering love he had for his family and friends.  SMITH Gillian Ursula (Gill) (formerly of Kaikoura) -on March 21, 2025,

Peacefully at Radius Millstream, Ashburton, aged 82 years. Loved eldest daughter of the late Terence and Phyllis Smith.  Dearly loved sister and sister in law of the late Vincent, and Melva, Kevin and Lynne, the late Heather and Rupert Laugesen, and Maree and Ian Thompson. A much loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews and their families. A Service celebrating Gill’s life will be held in Our Chapel ,cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton on Thursday March 27, commencing at 4.00pm, followed by a Requiem Mass at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Grays Lane, Kaikoura, on Saturday March 29, commencing at 10.00am, followed by a private cremation. Recitation of the Rosary will be at the Church on Friday evening at 7.00pm.

DOAK Lindsay John on March 16, 2025

At Coldstream Lifecare, Ashburton. Loved son of the late Samuel and Eileen Doak. Loving Dad of Teresa and Nathan Crofts, John, Nick, and Samantha Doak. Loved Grandad of Dakotah, Hunter, Ryder, Taydem, Felicity, Katelyn, and Paisley. Loved brother of Robert Doak (dec), Maureen McAllister, Rita and Neville Cowan, Samuel and Von Doak, Patrick and Jenny Doak. A loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews and a great friend to many. Passed Peacefully and is now at rest. A private cremation has taken place and a celebration of Lindsays life will be held at a later date.

CUNLIFFE Wilfred Charles (Wilf)-on March 15, 2025,

Peacefully at Terrace View, aged 83 years. A treasure to his devoted wife Janey. McGETTIGAN Mary, died peacefully on 11th March 2025

At her home in Christchurch after a short illness, aged 74 years. Dearly loved wife of John, and loved mother and mother-in-law of her seven children, Sean and Toni, Ben and Helen, Alana and Owen, Katrina, Liam (dec), Josh, Annabelle and Daniel. Also loved Nana of her six grandchildren Ella, Liam, Maeve, Elizabeth, Elliott, and Adaline. Beloved sister and sister-in-law of John, Harold, Aileen (dec), Gerard and Gill and Trish and Lindsay. Loved daughter of the late Arthur and Kathleen Lonie.  Messages to Mary McGettigan’s family, PO Box 472, Ashburton 7740. A Requiem Mass for Mary will be held at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, Methven on Monday 17th March commencing at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Methven Cemetery. There will be a Rosary vigil at the church on Sunday evening 16th March at 7pm.

Peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, aged 73 years.  Much loved wife and best friend of Ian.  Cherished mother and mother in law of Jane and Kelvin, and Mike and Penny.  Treasured Gran of Aleks, Kaleb and Chloe; and Flynn and Clyde.  Many thanks to the staff at Ashburton Hospital. PETERS, Jeanette Sadie Sutherland (Ginny).

Ginny passed peacefully on February 25, 2025 with Errol by her side. Much loved wife of Errol Peters and special mother to Wayne, Vivienne and Callum.
