HENDE, Gerhard John: (John) October 24, 2018

Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital on October 24, 2018 surrounded by those who loved him. Aged 63 years. Loving husband of Sharon, loving father to Kylie, Scott, Jamie and their partners and loving Grandad John to his 10 grandchildren (all of Ashburton). Son of the late Pat and Roseabel. Brother and brother in law of Cathy Hende, Noel and Rosey, Richard and Rea Phimister, Andrew Berry and Kaye Hende, and Peter. Respected uncle of all neices and nephews.

MCQUEEN Robert James (Rab) On October 26, 2018

On October 26, 2018, aged 47 years. Peacefully after a short but courageous battle surrounded by his loving family and friends.  Much loved son of Jim McQueen and Carol.  Beloved brother and brother in law of Sheryl and Tony Coster.  Much adored Uncle (Matey) of Jamie (Tid) and Sam (Boogie).  Special mate of Jimmy (Jimbo) McAndrew.  Loved by all his Uncles, Aunties and cousins.  Special work colleague of all his REL family. On October 23, 2018. Passed away peacefully, in Ashburton. Dearly loved husband of Barbara. Cherished father and father in law of Sarah and Kendall, Laura and Nigel, Emma and Luke, James and Chloe and ‘Grandad Bernie’ of Rupert, and Tilly; Angus, and Margot; and Harry. A Requiem Mass to celebrate Bernie’s life will be held at the Church of the Holy Name, Sealy Street, Ashburton, on Monday October 29, commencing at 11.00am. LAMONT, Dawn Marie: October 22, 2018

It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of our beautiful Dawn Marie, surrounded by those who adored her. The loving daughter of Trevor and Judith, loving partner to Chris, devoted Mother to Jason and Lance. Special friend to Jess, Linda, Ken, Michelle, John, Matthew, Nathan and their children Kaitlyn, Hollie, Jenson, Bodhi, and Dallis. Amazing sister and sister in law to Stephen and Donna, Warrick and Kate. Special Aunty to Morgan and Sarah, Max and Hayden. Many thanks to the staff of Ward One, Ashburton hospital for their care and support in Dawns final days. Out of respect for Dawns wishes she will be cremated and a celebration of her life will be announced in the coming weeks.

EDGAR, Donald Charles Ian: October 12, 2018

On October 12, 2018, at Christchurch Hospital. Aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Chloe. RUSSELL, George Peter: October 15, 2018

On October 15, 2018 at Radius Millstream, Ashburton, surrounded by his loving family. Aged 63 years. Dearly loved husband of Lynda. Much loved father and father in law of Christina and Glen, and Anne- Maree. Adored Poppy of Samantha, Damian, Phoenix, Lachie, and Hunter. Loved brother of Monica, Jan, and Lyn. THOMAS, Hazel Jean: (nee Scott) 17 January 1927 – October 10, 2018

Passed away peacefully in her 92nd year, with family by her side, at Radius Millstream, Ashburton.  Dearly loved wife of the late Norman Thomas, loved mother and mother-in-law of John and Lettie, Graham and Jane, Elizabeth and John, and Grandma to her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Special mention to Dr Katie Williamson and the staff at Radius Millsteam for their care of Hazel.  In keeping with Hazel’s wishes a private funeral was held on Saturday 13 October.

TATE, John Albert: (Spud)

It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of John on Friday October 5, 2018. John passed away at home in Hororata, aged 86. John was the beloved husband and soulmate of Jan, treasured and devoted Dad and father in law of Carol and Ross Chalmers, Colleen and Geoff Scott (Waitahuna) and dearly loved grandad and mentor to Kelly, Gregory, Kimberley, Sam, and Aidan.
