JACKSON Malcolm Thomas, June 22, 2024

17.7.1936  –  22.6.2024, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle at Radius Millstream, Ashburton.  Dearly loved husband of Janice (nee Hazeldine) for 62 years.  Loved father of Graeme and Lynda, and Heather.  Loved Grandad of Jakob and Indie, Charlotte and Logan, and Anaru.  Loved son of the late Alan and Mary Jackson.  Loved son in law of the late William and Victoria Hazeldine.  Loved brother in law of the late Leon, and Ron and Jill Hazeldine.  Much loved brother of the late David and Lois, Alex and Rita, Colin and the late Lin,  the late Jack and Janice Havill, the late Anthony and Lillian Munn, and Colin and Betty Dalkie.  Loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews.  A friend to many and will be dearly missed by all.  Messages to the Jackson family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.  Many thanks to the loving caring staff of Radius Millstream for their care and attention of Malcolm.  In keeping with Malcolm’s wishes a  private cremation has been held.

JONES Marilyn Geraldine (Lyn), on June 18, 2024

Peacefully at Terrace Veiw Retirement Village, Ashburton, aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Alan. Mother and mother in law of Gary and Roxanne, Sue and Rodney, Wendy and Robert, Kaye and Graeme. Grandmother and great grandmother to all her beautiful grandchildren. CAIRNS Robert Graham (Graham), on June 13, 2024

In his 91st year. Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital after a short illness, surrounded by his adoring family. Devoted husband of Laura. Loving Dad and father-in-law of Alison Cairns, and Malcolm and Kate Cairns. Proud Poppa of Frederick, Henrietta, Wilbur and Bruno. Beloved brother and brother-in-law of Rosalind and the late Don, and Audrey and Ian. Much admired uncle of Margaret and Robert; Allister, Helen, and James.  Lifelong steward of Garrickfield farm, Barrhill. Our gratitude to the staff of Ward A8, and to the members of St John, Methven, and Fire and Emergency, Methven and Rakaia. Messages to the family of Graham Cairns PO Box 742, Ashburton 7740. A service for Graham will be held at Rakaia Presbyterian Church, cnr Bridge and Bowen Streets, Rakaia on Thursday 20 June commencing at 1.00pm. Followed by interment at Barrhill Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, donations to St John may be made at the service.

Suddenly at Ashburton Hospital. Aged 83 years. Much loved husband of Di. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Anne-Marie and Simon Langley, Lou Hanham, Juliet and Brett Tucker, Nichola and Ryan Leppien, Gabrielle and Lyndon Urquhart, and Mike and Teri. unexpectedly at Ashburton Hospital, in his 72nd year. Dearly loved son of the late Frank and Mabel Parkin. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Julie and the late Eric Barr, Glenis and the late David Sloper, Bruce and Robyn, and Ian and Janice. Loved Uncle of all his nephews and nieces. In accordance with his wishes a private cremation for David has been held.

Peacefully at home in Ashburton on the 5 June 2024, aged 83 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Russ. Beloved Mum of Philippa and Warren Deuart, Robyn and Steve Kircher, Jill and Ian Ridge, Chris and Liliana and Janet and Tim Penney. CROMIE Max Geoffrey,(of Rakaia), on June 5, 2024

at Ashburton Hospital, aged 66 years. Dearly loved son of Audrey and the late Don Cromie. Loved brother and brother in law of Roberta and Russell, Ross (dec) and Liz, Brent and Janine, and Adrienne (dec). Loved uncle and great uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Max’s family would like to thank the Rakaia Bowling Club members, Rakaia Rugby Club members, District Nurses, Dr Sue at Rakaia Medical Centre, Rakaia First Response, Kate Gardner Oncologist, all the staff at Radius Millstream, and the Ashburton Hospital and all his many friends for their help and care towards Max during his illness.
