On April 10, 2020 at Ashburton Hospital. Aged 91 years. Dearly loved and devoted husband of the late Pamela, for 58 years. Much loved Dad and father in law of Dennis, Alan and Kate, and Philip and Amanda. Loved Grandad of Nicholas, Michael and Emily, Kimberley, Jaimee, and Jayden; Cindy, Jo and Jesse. SOLE, William Joseph: April 5, 2020

Peacefully at Tuarangi Home, Ashburton. Aged 80 years. Husband of the late Joyce.  Father of Steven and Denise, John and  Lesley,  Lindsay and   Karen, and Glen and  Mel. Grandad to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Messages to the Sole family c/- P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.  At Bill’s request a private cremation has been held and a service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.

Passed away peacefully at Radius Millstream Ashburton on April 8th, 2020, in his 91st year. A lifelong passion for the Fire Service, Music and the Performing Arts. Patron of Variety Theatre Ashburton and The Ashburton Fire Museum. Loved husband of the late Vi, and loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Larraine, Tony, and Nicola and Alan Lowe. Treasured Grandad of Jase and Amy, Daniel, Adam and Stacey Lowe and Kendall and Pete Lee. Dear great Grandad of Charlie, Huey, Oscar and Ted McQuarters and Brody Lowe. Thanks to Radius for their care of Alan over the past two weeks, also Dr Charlotte Cox and the medical staff of Ashburton Hospital. A rest well-earned, will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.A celebration of Macs life will be held at a later date.

KEENAN, Hazel (nee Watts), on April 4, 2020

Passed away peacefully at Radius Millstream, Ashburton on 4 April 2020, aged 99 years.  Loved wife of the late James Joseph Keenan.  Dearly loved mother of Tony and Gwenda, Leslie and Colleen, Frank and Ainslee, Marion and David Oakley, and Heather and George Nimmo.  Also a treasured Nana of 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Passed away peacefully at home, Ashburton, aged 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Ian (Tim) Bulling and the late Ted Bulling.  Dearly loved mother and mother in law of Christine and Chris Munro, Janice and Syd Taylor, Glenda and Graeme Erskine, and Robert and Maureen Bulling, and a much loved Nana, great Nana, and great great Nana.  Messages to 14a Graham Street, Ashburton 7700.  A special thank you to the District Nurses and the Palliative Care Team for their help and support.  A private cremation will be held.

DUURLOO, Yvonne Margaret, on April 3, 2020

at Ashburton Hospital, Yvonne was called Home to be forever with her Lord and Saviour. Aged 76 years. Dearly loved daughter of the late Daphne and Laurence Duurloo, much loved sister and friend of Elspeth (Winton), sister and sister in law of Laurita and Bill Poole (Invercargill) and the late Lorraine. We would like to acknowledge the good care given by ward 2 Ashburton Hospital and wards 18 and 19 Christchurch Hospital.“As for God His way is perfect”A private burial has taken place. It is proposed to hold a memorial service at Durham St Gospel Hall at a later date.

at Ashburton Hospital. Dearly loved wife of the late Les. Cherished Mum of Kathleen and Ross Morrison. Much loved Nana G of Michelle, Phillipa and Paul, and Chris and Clare. Dearly loved wife of the late McKenzie Thomas Cromie and the late Andrew Dynes.  Loved and respected mother of Shirley and Sandra and respected mother in law of the late Ivan Muckle. Loved Nana of Sonia, Craig, Steven, Anita, Vanessa and great Nana of Abbey, Chelsea, Charlotte, Grace and Lochie, Sophie, Levi and Indi. At Melva’s request a private family service has been held.
