Promoted to heaven on Friday June 22, 2018 surrounded by family after a short but courageous battle with cancer.  Much loved and cherished wife and companion of Russell.  Very much loved and influential mother and Grandma of Stephen, Belinda, Josh, Sam, Matt, and Jordyn Pearce; Richard, Jane, Olivia, and Lucy Pearce; Annette, Michael, Emily, Caitlin, and Will Harrex; Ewan, Anna, Jai, and Charli Pearce.  Beloved and respected sister of Alistair and Janet Wilkins, Russell and Pat Wilkins, Phillip and Deborah Wilkins, and Lois and Garth Fairbairn.  A huge thankyou to all those who cared for Viv over the course of her illness, we are all grateful for all you have done.  Messages to No 3 RD Longbeach Road, Willowby, Ashburton 7773.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Ashburton Cancer Society would be much appreciated and may be left at the service.  A Service to celebrate Viv’s life will be held at the Ashburton New Life Church, Melcombe Street, Ashburton on Thursday June 28, commencing at 1.00pm.  Followed by interment at the Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.
