Peacefully at Ashburton Hospital, with his family. In his 94^th year.  Dearly loved husband of Colleen, and the late Davena.  Much loved father and father in law of Marianne and Chris, Adrian, Armand and Katrina, and the late Kieran.  Loving Grandad and Opa of all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Messages to the van der Eik family, P O Box 472, Ashburton 7740.  A service for Bill will be held in Our Chapel, cnr East & Cox Streets, Ashburton on Friday April 4, commencing at 1.30pm, followed by interment at the Ashburton New Lawn Cemetery.
